Welcome to the Yarn Barn

We are a friendly and welcoming yarn shop and always happy to help you select your new projects.

We are based on the top floor of Albert Mill, Newhey Road in Milnrow and are 2 mins from junction 21 of the M62.

There are knit and natter groups to engage with like-minded crafters and learn new techniques. We also have a range of monthly craft workshops, including glass painting, weaving and needle felting and regular crochet workshops. All workshops are advertised on our Facebook page.

We stock yarns from Rowan, Sirdar & Hayfield, King Cole, Stylecraft, Rico, WYS , Emma Ball, DMC embroidery threads and a range of haberdashery including buttons and ribbons. We also have a wide selection of sock yarns.

New Season SS24 has arrived with all of the new Rowan pattern books and their new Revive Cotton yarn in 10 shades.

King Cole has released a new addition to their Linendale Range - Reflections, a lovely variegated cotton yarn.

Plus we have Lazy Hazy Cotton from Rico giving a subtle variegated pattern to your summer designs.

Sirdar Stories have also launched new crochet and knitting designs ready for Summer.

We are situated on the top floor of the Albert Mill in Milnrow - between Rochdale and Oldham.

We have a large and varied selection of yarns and patterns in store to keep you busy and help you create garments, baby clothes, blankets, homewares toys etc........

As well as yarns and patterns we have a good selection of knitting needles, crochet hooks and other haberdashery including KnitPro, Clover and Pony. DMC Embroidery threads and cross stitch kits. And lots of buttons.................

Come and join us to knit, crochet, swap ideas, chat and have a laugh

You can also have a brew, biscuits and sometimes cake.

You can come along to any or all of our sessions

On the 2nd Saturday of the month we have a tutor, Alex from MoHo Crafts that comes to the shop to teach beginners, from 10..00am until 12.00pm.

On the 2nd Saturday of the month we have a tutor, Alex from MoHo Crafts that comes to Crochet Club from 1.00pm until 3.00pm. this will help you continue your crochet journey on from the beginners workshop.
